SewerVUE News Release – August 2010
August 26, 2010
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SewerVUE RELEASES GPR / PPR VIDEO
A video clip showing the SewerVUE Surveyor in-pipe ground penetrating radar pipe inspection system during deployment and operation has been uploaded to YouTube and can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/user/SewerVUE.
This video illustrates the main functions of the robot including the tensioned arm movement of the pipe penetrating radar sensors over protruding laterals in the pipe. This unique feature allows the “Surveyor” robot to traverse offset joints or other structural alignment deviations. The video was filmed in a 30 inch diameter reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe.
SewerVUE EXHIBITING AT ASCE PIPELINES 2010
SewerVUE will be exhibiting at the ASCE Pipelines 2010 conference in Keystone, Colorado starting on August 29th, 2010. This premier specialty conference is geared toward water and wastewater pipeline engineering professionals and pipeline owners. We invite you to drop by our exhibit (booth #512) and speak with Csaba Ekes and Gordon Henrich about this emerging technology and how we could perform a pilot project in your area.
ABOUT SEWERVUE – SewerVUE’s patent-pending in-pipe GPR inspection technology gathers and interprets, on commercial scale, the data needed to assess pipe wall thickness, rebar cover, and outside voids. This critical information allows owners and consultants to model service life and plan remediation and rehabilitation of large diameter underground pipes and related infrastructure.
