Slip-Lining: Portland Case Study

While CCTV is useful in identifying visible pipe faults, CCTV does not quantify these defects, nor does it provide information beyond what can be seen in a poor visibility environment. Cost-effective long-term management of critical pipe infrastructure necessitates data-driven decision making. We presents a case study in recent developments in multi-sensor robotic condition assessment, combining LiDAR technology with high-definition CCTV. Through the use of LiDAR intensity reflections, pipe defects such as small cracks are prominently visible in conditions that make them easy to miss using CCTV alone.

M.S.I. Inspection: Santiago Case Study

A case study is presented, showcasing SewerVUE's successful deployment and execution of a multi-sensor condition assessment spanning 10,903.2 linear feet of 47” to 96” reinforced concrete pipe across six critical segments in Santiago, Chile. Over a period of 9 days, SewerVUE employed a combination of 3D LIDAR and CCTV technologies to collect precise measurements. Ultimately, this data empowered the client to make cost-efficient decisions regarding the maintenance of their underground infrastructure.
